A man who has sponsored his girlfriend’s education after six years together is reportedly worried about changes in her attitude since she gained admission, raising concerns about whether his sacrifices will eventually lead to marriage.
"Yesterday, I listened to my friend tell me what he has been going through with his girlfriend of 6years, and honestly, I was moved to speak up.
Yes, I will call her his girlfriend because he hasn't done anything on her head, even though they have been living together for about 4 years and some months.
He told me that they have a 3yrs old child together, which is one of the reasons he decided to sponsor her education. He said he never had the opportunity to enter university with his mates in 2021, so he wants her to have that opportunity. His plan is to let his wife go and officially marry her once she graduates.
I told him that having a child together doesn't guarantee that she will eventually marry him, especially considering the way she has started treating him less than a year after gaining admission into the university.
