A man has sparked debate after revealing that his cousin, who returned from Germany after 18 years, gave him just €10 for helping him explore their village during his visit.
"One of my cousins who traveled abroad since 2007 and refused to call or reach out to anyone, finished his building (a bungalow) in the village, and he came back last year December after spending 18yrs in Germany.
He came back and couldn’t even recognize his immediate cousins, or even remember their names.
When we met, he started by asking me my name, and he asked me to help take him around the village, he was just taking pictures with his iPhone XR.
After taking him around all through his stay, the night before the day he was to travel to Lagos, he told someone to come and call me. I came into his room and he folded €10 into my hands and said thank you.
Is it that people abroad don’t have money, or they are just naturally stingy?"
