A Nigerian mother says she ended her children's tricycle school transport arrangement after the driver sent a harsh message over a delayed payment, despite years of consistent patronage and voluntary fare increases.
"The keke guy that takes my kids TO (no fro) school charged me 3k weekly in first term and I have never defaulted.
Fast forward to this term, I instinctively increased his money to 4k weekly due to increment in fuel price. This man never for once acknowledged it or showed any gratitude.
Meanwhile school is not more than 10mins by leg from the house and my kids have missed school most Fridays this term due to one reason or the other. He also carries other kids on the way. This did not stop me from paying in full plus some other tips once in a while.
You had to see the message he sent because I forgot to send his last week's pay, because I was extremely busy with my husband's niece's wedding, even though he didn't come on Friday.
My daughter saw it and said, no need to be wasting my money paying him, they can now go to school all by themselves. Feed humans for 10years and default just one day, they forget all you have done for 10years.
