All members of the House of Representatives who secured their National Assembly seats in the 2023 elections through the popular Obidient movement, but later defected to the APC, have reportedly lost their party primary elections ahead of the next polls.
The development has sparked reactions across political circles, with many observers describing it as a major setback for the defectors who abandoned the platform that originally brought them into office.
Attention is now turning to those lawmakers who recently dumped the APC and returned to the NDC, as the party is yet to officially hand over its tickets to any candidate for the upcoming elections.
