Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has denied any involvement in the controversial incident involving a group of ladies who raised red pants during a recent political event in Kano State.
In a statement addressing the situation, the governor said he was neither aware of nor gave approval for the actions displayed at the event. He emphasized that the incident does not reflect the values or directives of his administration.
Governor Yusuf further disclosed that, due to concerns surrounding the controversy, he has decided to temporarily distance himself from social media platforms. According to him, he will instead rely on official briefings to stay informed about ongoing developments in the state.
The Kano State Government also confirmed that it is taking necessary steps to investigate the matter thoroughly. Authorities say appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against those found to be directly involved in the incident.
