The Wife of the Governor, Her Excellency Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru has praised the President and all the executives of Onwa Oferekpe Women’s Wing Ebonyi State for their efforts in promoting women-women coalitions and massive contributions towards her coming into office , while she assuring them 50% women’s inclusiveness in her Administration.
Mrs Nwifuru disclosed this when women’s group paid a courtesy visit at her office Government House Abakaliki
She noted that the activities of Onwa Oferekpe Women’s Wing, the importance of this movement to her personally, while stated her readiness to include the group in all her activities in governance.
Mrs Nwifuru, therefore encouraged the members of the group to be of good behavior and also evangelize for more members with a resolve to reach the women at the grass roots and promote women’s participation in politics.
Earlier, in a separate speech, the nations president of Onwa Oferekpe Women’s Wing, Barr Stella Nwagu and two other executives, Mrs Acho Chinyere ( zonal coordinator Central) and Mrs Nancy Ebili ( Zonal Cordinator North) they expressed their profound gratitude for women’s inclusion in this Administration.
They narrated their contributions in the just concluded elections that brought His Excellency Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to power and pledged to work even harder in the next 4 years. The executives also reiterated their commitment to Her Excellency and promised to remain loyal to her government.
