Fashion entrepreneur and stylist Veekee James has clapped back at a troll who criticized her marriage, saying her husband and her lives are completely intertwined.
In her response, the mother of one described marriage as total unity, comparing herself and her husband to "cloth, padlock and key."
She pushed back against the idea that spouses should maintain completely separate lives, insisting that what people see of them together is exactly how marriage should be.
In her words:
"Yes, he's my handbag. My husband doesn't have a l!fe of his own. My l!fe is his l!fe.The same way I don't have a l!fe of my own. He is me, I am he. We are like cloth, padlock and key.
When you marry your own separate him, remove him from your l!fe and keep him somewhere.
You don't understand what marriage is, his l!fe is mine, my l!fe is his. You will see us everywhere."
