Claims of ₦40bn and ₦60bn spent on the Osun election have triggered questions over the use of taxpayers’ money, with critics asking how much could have been achieved through schools, empowerment and other public projects.
“Osun State, 29 people don kp@! for Adeleke, say they no go take him state from him. The Adeleke now is with the oppressor they f&ught. What a country. And there is a counter-allegation from Accord and APC.
Davido’s dad said APC spent ₦60 billion for that election. Ayo Fayose came out and also said they spent ₦40 billion for the election. So between Accord and APC, they spent ₦100 billion for the election.
How many schools? How many empowerments can ₦100 billion give you? If you share ₦100 billion, ₦1 million each to people, you know how many people it will touch? Wey go start new business, fit feed themselves.
So, Osun election alone is ₦100 billion of taxpayers’ money, not their money. Na p00r man dey s&ffer, na p00r man dey sing their praise...”
