A comedian has criticized pastors who ask worshippers to bring specific amounts of money to the altar in exchange for miracles, describing the practice as deceptive and questioning whether it reflects the teachings of Jesus.
"You will go to some churches and hear the pastor say, 'I need just seven people that can run to the altar with their ₦200k. If you have ₦200k, just run to the altar with it. God has something for you. This miracle is not for everybody.’

If they now see that the people that came out for the ₦200k are not much, they will now go lower. 'If you have ₦100k, run to the altar with it. The Lord wants the miracle to reach everyone.'

If they now see that the ₦100k own is not much, they will reduce it to ₦50k. 'Run to the altar with your ₦50k. This miracle must reach everybody. Come, come.'
If he come see say him budget never clear, he will now reduce it to ₦20k, ₦10k and ₦5k.
If he still sees that he hasn't met up with his expected target, he will now say, 'Okay, come to the altar with anything you have. God says this miracle must reach everybody.'
