A 60-year-old man has reportedly died inside a hotel room in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, after he allegedly collapsed while with a 19-year-old woman.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a private encounter at the hotel, throwing staff and other guests into panic.
Police officers attached to the Yalwawa Division were said to have responded swiftly after receiving a distress call. The man was immediately rushed to the General Hospital, Dutse, where medical personnel confirmed him dead.
During a preliminary investigation, detectives recovered food items, beverages, a suspected sexual enhancement substance, and other personal belongings from the hotel room. The recovered items are expected to assist investigators in determining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The deceased's body has since been deposited in the hospital mortuary, while police say investigations are ongoing.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or confirmed the exact cause of death, pending further medical examination and the outcome of the investigation.
