A woman who left Delta State with her two children to live with a man in Benin City says she endured months of alleged abuse before attempting to escape. Despite her decision to leave, the man reportedly insists she cannot go. Concerned residents are calling for urgent intervention to ensure her safety.
What is going on in this world,things kept happening every single day .This woman left Ughelli in Delta State with her two children and followed this man to Benin City. According to her, her family members don’t even know the man. She said they just met and she decided to follow him.
They have been living together for about 6 months now, but the man has been seriously maltreating her and be@@.ting her almost every day. The woman is not doing any work and depends on the man completely.
Today, she finally decided to run away because she said she was tired of the constant be@@.ting. She told the man she was hungry but didn’t want to eat food from the house. The man said he would go outside and buy food for her.
Immediately the man left, the woman quickly carried some of her belongings, her two children, and ran away. Unfortunately, the man later found where she kept the things in another man’s house.
The man told her to carry everything back home, but the woman refused. The man then said he would never allow her stay in another man’s house because he has “spent so much on her.” But according to the woman, the man never paid any bride price or did anything officially for her. They were only living together like husband and wife.
Since morning, the man has continued be@ting her, while the woman keeps saying she doesn’t want him anymore. But the man insists that she is not going anywhere and that he will decide when she leaves his house.
This incident is currently happening in Benin City. I just hope the man does not end up seriously hurting this woman.
