Owerri, Nigeria – President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has reportedly offered automatic employment to 30 students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) following their participation in an educational tour of the Dangote Refinery.
The students were part of a delegation led by the Vice-Chancellor of FUTO, Prof. Nnenna Oti, on a visit to the state-of-the-art refinery, one of the largest industrial projects in Africa. The excursion was aimed at exposing the students to practical industrial operations and enhancing their understanding of large-scale manufacturing and energy production.
According to reports, the employment offer was made in recognition of the students' exceptional performance, enthusiasm, and engagement throughout the visit. The gesture has been widely praised as a significant boost to youth empowerment and graduate employment opportunities in Nigeria.
