As Alex Ekubo is laid to rest this June, Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, his story serves as a reminder that many struggles remain unseen. Check on the strong ones, speak up, and remember—no burden is too heavy to share. #MensMentalHealthMonth
To me, it's quite symbolic that Alex Ekubo is set to be laid to rest in the month that is dedicated to raising awareness around men's mental health.
Alex will be laid to rest on the 18th of June, 2026 in Arochukwu, Abia State. He was someone who $trÅ«ggl€d and battled çãñçēr, silently. On the outside he appeared okay but on the inside, he was d¥Ä«Ã±g.
June is dedicated to raising awareness around men's mental health. The theme of entire month is basically "Bros, are you okay for real?"
Statistics have proven that men kpai by $ūīçīd€ way more than vvomen.
509,000 men in a year.
42,000 men in a month.
1,400 men in a day
1 man in every minute.
What does this mean? The man that tells you that he is okay or that might appear strong to you, could be dealing with i$$Å«€$ that nobody knows about. Check on your friends, brothers, every one in your life, including the strong ones.
Take care of your mental health, it's okay to cry in the shower, ease the burdens on yourself, talk to a friend.
Know that, what you can't achieve today, could be achieved tomorrow, so stay alive.
Spend that last 2k on suya, tomorrow you go again.
You're not alone!
Your life is not done!
Happy Men's mental health month!
