Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested suspected kidnappers allegedly involved in the abduction and killing of a Pentecostal cleric, identified as Bishop Chinedu.
The suspects were reportedly apprehended in Onitsha while attempting to sell the late bishop’s vehicle, which was recovered by the police during the operation.
According to preliminary reports by Police, the bishop was allegedly kidnapped and killed in Asaba yesterday before the suspects fled with his vehicle.
Sources further disclosed that the bishop’s driver has been implicated as an alleged collaborator in the kidnapping operation.
Police authorities are yet to release an official detailed statement as investigations continue.
