Video shared with LIB shows the Unizik SUG President lying on the floor while men said to be operatives of the Udogachi Vigilante Group pounced on him.
The attack occured this afternoon, March 25, at about past 2pm.
According to an SOS messages sent out to all students of the institution, the President was attacked for advocating for students' rights.
The message to students reads: "Unizik no go gree on this one
"The worst has happened! Our SUG President has been brut@lly b£aten by the Udogachi Vigilante Group while standing and fighting for the rights of UNIZIK students. They even went as far as attempting to shoot him!
"This is no longer something we can keep quiet about. This is an attack on every single student of this institution! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!"
They called on all students to "come out immediately for a peaceful but powerful protest" and provided a location and time.
Students have now gathered at Aroma Junction and caused a road block as they protest the ass@ult on their SUG President.
