Popular Nigerian singer Davido has stirred admiration online after politely declining a female fan’s request to follow her on Instagram.
In a now-viral video shared on Instagram, the woman approached the artist asking him to follow her page.Davido responded with laughter and said, “Sorry, my wife will kill me,” referencing his wife Chioma.
When the fan tried to persuade him further, Davido stood his ground, adding, “I only follow my wife. I can’t follow anyone else.” His firm yet playful response has drawn praise from fans, who commended the singer for demonstrating loyalty and respect for his marriage despite his celebrity status.
Davido and Chioma, who had their traditional wedding in Lagos in 2024, are expected to hold their white wedding in Miami in August 2025. The couple, parents to twins, have been celebrated for their strong bond and resilience following past personal tragedies.
