You know back then in Nollywood, marketers were already used to having direct contact with the actors and actresses.
They were used to having easy access to us. So when I started working with my manager Mildred, a lot of things changed.
They weren't comfortable with speaking to a manager because they knew we couldn't be che@ted anymore.
This affected my Nollywood career in a negative way. I would say they banned me in a silent way. I didn't get any work for a very very long time.
My manager encouraged me to go into production and that's what I did. I produced my first film 'The Meeting ' and it was a success.
So in a way, the ban was also a blessing "
