The Actors' Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the indefinite suspension of Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar. The decision follows an extensive investigation that allegedly uncovered her involvement in circulating slanderous news about fellow actors and prominent individuals online.
In a statement released by the AGN, it was revealed that Abubakar was behind several defamatory stories, particularly those linking high-profile members of the entertainment industry and notable figures in society to extramarital affairs.
The Guild further disclosed that Abubakar will face a disciplinary panel that will determine her ultimate punishment. During this suspension period, she is prohibited from participating in any film productions or industry-related activities.
