As a father, the only way you can guarantee that your daughter will not marry a poor man is if you yourself have made so much money and endow some of it on your daughter, to the extent that whoever marries her will not be poor.
But if you are poor and you say your daughter will never marry a poor man, then you may be setting her up for a lifetime of spinsterhood. Why? Because if you are poor, you likely live in a poor neighbourhood. Where will your daughter meet rich, young, eligible bachelors? Certainly not in that neighbourhood. So prepare.
Start now by first lifting yourself out of poverty. Move to a wealthier neighbourhood. Take your children with you to classy restaurants, clubs, and malls. Teach them to eat with the right cutlery and how to walk in a ladylike manner. Help them develop a reading culture.
Polish them up with ballet, cultural dances, tennis and swimming lessons. Ensure they don't use gutter slangs, like 'last last', 'no gree for anybody', 'everybody go chop breakfast', etc.
They should speak your native language and English. No pidgin. Prepare them for the type of men you want them to marry. Note that it is almost impossible for a local girl to marry a global man.
