The Ebonyi State chapter of the Coalition Of United Political Parties (CUPP) has commended the state government led by Rt. Hon Ogbonnaya Nwifuru on his planned empowerment for indigent Ebonyians.

"The coalition of political parties commends His Excellency Rt Hon Ogbonna Nwifuru for his thoughtfulness and his policy direction of taking Ebonyians out from the dungeons of poverty cum street hulking "
"This particular policy direction will drastically reduce poverty and encourage craftiness which in return will yield the productivity rate of the state, and increase its IGR"
"His Excellency the Governor is beckoned upon to see the empowerment scheme don't become an avenue for political patronage "
"They should be thorough profiling of the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries should be exposed adequately to skills that will guarantee the proper utilization of the funds to be empowered with"
He advocated that an agency that will have a sole role of training, and empowerment of the citizens be established so that it becomes a state policy.
"It has become imperative that a special agency with the sole role of training and empowering Ebonyians is created with accompanying investment bank to be owned and managed by the government where capitals can be housed and accessed for this singular purpose. With an investment bank, investor's, companies and private individuals will have confidence of throwing in their money" he explained.
CUPP will follow up with the process and will monitor it so that the target will not be missed.
