Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has commended the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, CP Sunday Olaleye for his exceptional gallantry in combating criminalities during his reign as the Police Boss in the State.
Governor Nwifuru made the commendation during a Dinner organized in honour of the retired CP at the Banquet Hall, old Government House, Abakaliki on Friday.
Governor Nwifuru while extolling retired CP Olaleye for his astuteness in policing the State said he would be missed for his dedication to the safety of lives and property of Citizens.
"His ability to surmount crime surpasses everybody's imagination.
"He is a very trusted person, very educated and dedicated, the way he manoeuver things and get results is marveling.
"CP my own is to thank you and to pray God Almighty to give you the strength in your future endeavors, the best thing for one to do is to hand over when you are still strong and we thank God for you."
Responding, the retired Commissioner of Police, CP Sunday Olaleye thanked the People and Government of Ebonyi State for the honour done him and assured he would continue to be good Ambassador of the State wherever he goes thereafter.
"Your Excellency, I am short of words, the honour you have given me, God will reward you, Ebonyi is like my State, Ekiti, when I am driving and I see these men and women, I feel that I am seeing my father and mother because I grew up in the farm.
"We have a perfect gentleman in His Excellency, very intelligent and articulate, God has really blessed this land, if you unite, you can move mountains."
