The Coalition Of United Political Parties (CUPP) has congratulated the newly appointed commissioner of Inter-Party affairs, Hon. Ogbonnaya Okorie on appointment and subsequent Inauguration.
CUPP Saturday in a statement signed by the chapters chairman, Engr Chinedum Elekwachi hailed the appointment of Hon. Okorie describing him as a round peg in a round hole.
Engr. Elekwachi, an erstwhile state chairman of the Action People's Party (APP) in the statement stated that Hon. Ogbonnaya Okorie as the 2019 governorship candidate of the defunct AAP is a bonafide member of CUPP and therefore qualifies to lead the Inter-Party affairs ministry
Continuing, the chairman thanked the Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Ogbonna Nwifuru For Creating the Interparty affairs ministry saying it is a well thought development and commendable.
"Governor Nwifuru deserves to be thanked for creating the ministry of Interparty affairs and appointing a round peg in a round hole to man the ministry"
"It is clear to all Ebonyians that CUPP was the voice of the voiceless during the electioneering process and now that the election is over, it is now time for governance"
"Remarkably, in our advocacy during the town hall meeting organized by CUPP for the governorship candidate's, we advocated that a ministry of Interparty affairs be created by anyone that wins to become the next governor of the state in order to mainstream the opposition political parties into governance and to effect stability in the polity"
"Governor Nwifuru by this appointment has gone ahead to honor our plead and we have no reason not to support his government and in same vein beckon on the commissioner to initiate machinery to engage leaders of opposition political parties in the possible ways of partnership to ensure stability in the political hemisphere of the state "
