Not every hero wears a cape. Some just choose to help others when things get dangerous.
Lee Ji-han was a young Korean actor, just 24 years old. He was among those who lost their lives during a tragic incident that happened in Itaewon, Seoul, South Korea on October 29, 2022.
For those who may not know, Itaewon is a popular busy area in Seoul where many young people go to enjoy nightlife. That night, because it was Halloween weekend, thousands of people gathered there to celebrate. The streets were too crowded, especially one small narrow alley. Too many people entered at the same time and there was a crowd crúsh. People could n0t br£áthe or m0ve. That was how 159 people lost their lives.
To K-Drama lovers, you may know him from Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. He later acted in Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day in 2019, and he was preparing for a new drama called Kokdu: Season of Deity.
But what people will remember most is what he did that night.
According to eyewitnesses, when everywhere was already crowded and unsafe in that alley, he saw a young girl who was struggling to get out. He tried to help her and push her to safety. She survived because of his help. Sadly, he didn't.
