"He is a man trying to survive politically": Man alleges Adeleke's support for Tinubu is survival move, claims over N216bn Osun LG allocation withheld since February
A man has alleged that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s reported support for President Bola Tinubu is not out of love but a move for political survival.
According to him, Osun State is currently the only state in Nigeria where all 30 local government areas are unable to access their federal allocations, a situation he said has lasted since February 2025.
He claimed that over N216 billion in accumulated allocations has been withheld from the state by the federal government, a development he said is hindering the governor from executing several projects.
In his words:
“If you think Osun State governor Ademola Adeleke is supporting Tinubu because he loves him or doesn’t care about the suffering of the people, then you’re wrong.
Governor Adeleke is a man trying to survive politically. Do you know that Osun State is the only state in Nigeria where all 30 local government areas are unable to access their federal allocations?
Since February 2025, over ₦216 billion in accumulated allocations has been withheld from Osun State by the federal government, hindering the governor from executing several projects in the state.”
