"I'm not even somebody that makes videos or anything when things happen to me because I h@te Nigeria with the core of my being, with every single thing in me.
Little things that should not be a problem are a big issue in this country. Why is electricity still hard to get in 2026? Do you know how many people have missed job interviews? Do you know how many people have missed foreign gigs because of electricity?
I remember when I used to write, I used to get foreign cards from the US. I would literally go to a friend's house to charge my laptop so that I'll be able to write and submit amidst deadlines.
Today now, I'm contesting for Face of Beauty by AD. I've been making this video. Why it is paining me is because I'm using makeup products. I've been contesting for Face of Beauty by AD. I shot this video yesterday. Halfway through, my lights d!ed.
Why did my lights d!e? Because there's no light to charge the photo light. I don't have any source of electricity.
The lights here have been sh!t. In a month, we only get lights like five times, and even if they bring the lights, you see how sh!!t these st_pid lights is. Even when they bring it, it is so low it can't power anything. The only thing it can try to power is LED light, and it will be so, so low. We barely get light in this area. It is so bad. It is so infuriating.
I started shooting yesterday. I was halfway done. I was doing my base. I've done my eye look, my lights went off. There's no electricity to power it. All through the night, they didn't bring the lights to even charge the battery.
Fine, I brought some money. Mind you, I am literally basically almost unemployed because how much am I getting in a month? I brought out from that money to buy fuel. I bought fuel.
Electricity is a big problem. It's like when you talk about electricity, you're talking about something that's in a foreign land. Something as basic and common as electricity.
Every single time, I don't create as much makeup videos or even fashion videos because why would it be cr@zy? I'd be sweating like a she-g©at.
I'm only doing makeup. Do you know how much one makeup product is? And I filmed this video yesterday. No lights to complete the video. After they filmed the video again, no light. The fan is low. It can't even fan my face well so that the makeup products dry, and I've cleaned it and I want to film it again.
When I tell you I h@te Nigeria, I h@te this country with every ounce of my being. There's something desperately wrong with this issue. I am fr_strated. I am tired.
Everybody that knows me knows that I may go get them, but this country is s_cking the life out of me. I'm just thinking that I have to be here. I have to do something here. It is physically and mentally draining me.
This place is f_ck!ng with my mental health. It is f_ck!ng with my capacity. It is f_ck!ng with the life that I know I want for myself.
I just h@te this country."
