A couple celebrated their new home, but the marriage reportedly collapsed days later after the wife publicly revealed she was the sole homeowner.

For about 10 years, she had been begging her husband to buy a house because they were living in a rented two-bedroom apartment with their three children.
Their 16-year-old son even sleeps in the sitting room because there wasn’t enough space. She suggested renting a bigger apartment, but her husband refused, saying it was a waste of money.
She also revealed that they own a ₦250 million house on the Island, but after opening it, they returned to the U.S., leaving her younger sister and her family to live there and maintain it.
Despite knowing her husband could afford a house, he kept refusing. According to him, if they bought one together, she might divorce him one day and take the property.
She then asked him, ‘If I buy a house myself, will there be any problem?’ He replied, ‘No problem. It’s still the same thing.’
The woman started saving and eventually bought a house on her own. Before signing the documents, she invited her husband to have his name added to the property, but he refused.
He told her, ‘Don’t put my name on anything. I’m not paying any mortgage with you, and I’m not involved in any house.’
She completed the purchase alone, and the family moved into the new home. She never told anyone that the property was solely in her name.
After they settled in, she suggested having a housewarming. Her husband agreed, and family and friends gathered to celebrate.
During the event, after the husband gave his speech, he insisted that his wife should also address the guests.
While thanking everyone for coming, she said, ‘Getting this house was a challenge for me, but I thank God for making it possible. Most especially, I thank God for making me a homeowner.’
Everyone applauded, but after the guests left, her husband confronted her.
He said, ‘How d@re you? Do you know how you made me feel in front of my family and everyone? You rid!cul£d me. You’re going to live in this house with your children because am moving out.’
The woman thought he was joking until he packed out.
Later, he gave her an ultimatum. He said if she wanted him to return, she had to transfer ownership of the house to his name while she continued paying the mortgage.
She suggested that instead of doing that, he should buy another house for the family, but he refused.
Up till now, the man has not returned home.
