Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejika, popularly known as B-Lord, has described his recent detention as politically motivated, sparking reactions among supporters and political observers.
Speaking shortly after his release, B-Lord claimed that his ordeal was connected to his stance ahead of an upcoming election. According to him, authorities targeted him because he refused to oppose his brother’s political ambition.
What you are seeing here regarding my recent detention is all politics. Just because I supported my brother and refused to join them against him, I was detained. Otherwise, I would not have spent more than a day in custody over the issue. But no matter what, I cannot join them, and I cannot be bought,” he said.
The entrepreneur made the remarks while addressing a large crowd of supporters who gathered to welcome him back in Anambra State. His return turned into a celebratory event, with many expressing solidarity and backing his position.
The incident has since drawn attention to the intersection of politics and business in the region, with observers closely watching for further developments as the election approaches.
