President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the Rivers State House of Assembly to immediately suspend all ongoing impeachment proceedings.
According to the directive, the President further instructed all members of the House to consult with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for further guidance on the matter.
President Tinubu warned the lawmakers to desist from any action capable of further polarising the political atmosphere in Rivers State, stressing the need for restraint and political stability.
The intervention comes amid heightened political tension in the state, as stakeholders continue to call for dialogue and adherence to democratic principles.
