Just yesterday, Nigeria lost a top military officer — Brigadier General M. Uba — kidnapped and murdered by ISWAP terrorists along the Damboa–Biu axis of Borno State.
This was not hidden… the terror group openly claimed responsibility and circulated images to showcase their cruelty.
The same Monday, the nation woke up to another heartbreak — 25 young girls abducted from a boarding school in Kebbi State, and the school’s vice principal shot dead in the process.
My people, does this still shake us?
We are gradually slipping into a dangerous place where tragedy begins to look normal… where the abduction of schoolchildren barely creates a ripple… where the death of a serving army general does not move the nation… where entertainment trends louder than national security.
And one question continues to echo:
Why is government still negotiating with terrorists?
Nigeria must not lose its conscience.
Africa must not lose its sensitivity.
Human life must never become a statistic.
Let this message awaken us — at home and in the Diaspora — to demand accountability, responsible leadership, and the protection of our people.
