A heated dispute has erupted between actress May Edochie and her former lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, with Ugwuonye accusing May of spreading false information about her marriage to Yul Edochie.
According to Ugwuonye, Yul was compelled to marry May after getting her pregnant at 22, while she was 24, and their marriage was not based on love but rather managing. May lied about Yul threatening her with a gun, which Ugwuonye calls "completely false".
May knew about Yul's relationship with Judy for a long time and initially condoned it.
May had no money, and Yul was the breadwinner, even providing funds to start her store. May claimed to have three bank loans, but Ugwuonye questions why Yul should pay for loans taken without his knowledge.
Ugwuonye's revelations have sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his claims and others condemning the public airing of private matters. May Edochie has responded with a cease-and-desist notice, demanding ₦1 billion in damages and a public apology for alleged cyberbullying, defamation, and breach of trust.
Ugwuonye has also shared screenshots of private conversations with May, claiming they show how he guided her through the legal process. He accuses May of being manipulative and dishonest, warning her to pray he doesn't release more evidence.
The feud between May Edochie and Emeka Ugwuonye continues to unfold, with both parties trading accusations and neither showing signs of backing down.
