The Solution Innovation District (SID), in partnership with Circum Technologies, has officially launched its Robotics Training Programme — a major leap in Anambra State’s mission to nurture digital innovation and tech talent.
At the grand opening held in Awka, dignitaries in attendance included Ms. Chinwe Okoli, Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation; Dr. Law Mefor, Commissioner for Information; Mr. Christian C. Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industry and Information; and Mr. Sylvester Uzoama, CEO of Circum Technologies.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Chinwe Okoli said the programme reflects Governor Charles Soludo’s vision to make Anambra the digital and creative capital of Nigeria.
“We are laying the foundation for innovation, job creation, and tech-driven solutions,” she said.
The programme is hands-on, and participants will build fully functional robots by the end of the training — combining theory with real-world application.
Dr. Law Meforencouraged participants to pursue entrepreneurship, noting:
“Those who want to turn this training into a business can access startup loans through my office via ASBA.”
Adding to the excitement, Mr. Sylvester Uzoama announced:
“The two best-performing students will receive a free laptop and drone from Circum Technologies.”
This initiative falls under SID’s broader 1 Million Anambra Digital Tribe (1MADT) campaign, offering free digital skills training to Anambra youths.
SID encourages the public to stay connected via social media for updates and future opportunities.
