Joycelyn Savage, who has long been at the center of the controversy surrounding R&B singer R. Kelly, has made new and bold claims about their relationship.
In a recent revelation, Joycelyn stated that she has been in a romantic relationship with the embattled singer for the past six years and has visited him every weekend during that time.
According to Savage, the relationship has grown stronger over the years, leading her to propose to R. Kelly three years ago. She claims he accepted the proposal, and the couple now plans to get married and start a family in the near future.
“I love him, and I’ve been seeing him every weekend for six years,” she said. “I proposed to him three years ago, and he said yes. We plan to get married and have a family.”
Joycelyn also took the opportunity to clear the air about past accusations made by her parents. She dismissed claims that she was ever held against her will or manipulated by the singer. “My parents lied about everything,” she asserted. “I wasn’t brainwashed or held captive.”
These statements reignite public debate surrounding the R. Kelly case, particularly concerning the testimonies from several women and the involvement of families who alleged misconduct. R. Kelly, who is currently serving time following a series of convictions related to sexual misconduct and abuse, has maintained varying degrees of denial regarding many of the charges.
Joycelyn Savage’s continued support and now claims of a long-standing relationship add another layer to the complex narrative that has followed the singer for years.
