Popular Nollywood actress Gbubemi Onuwaje popularly known as Lizzy Gold has apologized to the Igbos for wearing their masquerade costume in a movie.
The actress explained that she only wore the costume because of her role in a movie and not to spite the Igbos. She said as an Itsekiri girl, she respects people’s culture and she’s not a troublesome person.
She further said she that the Igbos should forgive her and not bêat her whenever they see her physically as some have threatened to do so to her.
We join in pleading with the Igbos to forgive her. Lizzy is a very professional actress and she loves the Igbo culture so much that one could think she’s an Igbo lady.
