I STARTED DOING MUSIC TO MAKE MY OWN NAME, IT WAS BECOMING BORING TO HEAR PEOPLE CALL ME "FALANA PIKIN "
Growing up as a kid, I realise it is very easy to achieve your dreams as a kid with a good surname in Africa but you will always pay the price by being hidden under your father's name.
It is very easy for a Davido to be a Davido or a Seun to be a Seun because there last name is already a good brand in the heart of Nigerians who loves there Dads but very difficult for a child of a poor man with little influence.
Odimegwu Ojukwu happens to be one among the very few who made a bigger name than his father Louis Ojukwu who was amongst the richest Nigerians during his time.
People have referred to me as Falana's son and some Falana pikin. After my law sch, I decided to chase my passion in music because I want people to know and remember me as Falz, I am proud of my dad but I still like to make my own name.
