The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has commended the Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, for his quality representation, and enjoined him, to remain steadfast in giving effective representation to his Constituency.
Governor Nwifuru disclosed this at Item Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area, during the formal inauguration of constituency projects, empowerment programme, and 48 birthday anniversary of Comrade Chinedu Ogah.
In a press release signed by Theophilus Ifeanyi Igwe, CPS to Ebonyi State House Of Assembly, noted that the Governor, who was represented by the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, described Comrade Ogah as a dedicated Legislator and a bridge builder, who works with passion, and encouraged him, to remain focus in building synergies across the geopolitical zones of the country, for the good of Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency.
"As we know him, he is my brother and a dedicated legislator, who does his work with passion. I also want to state that he is a bridge builder. Half of the attendees of this event proves that he is a bridge builder, because in this event, we can see Members of the House of Representatives from the North West, the North East, North Central, South South, South West, and South East, and other nooks and crannies of Nigeria.
"Therefore, as his representative here in Ebonyi State, we encourage him to continue to be a bridge builder because, this Job can not be done alone, you can only survive with that synergy he has built for himself."
He congratulated Comrade Chinedu Ogah on his birthday celebration, and lauded him for extending his projects beyond his constituency, and prayed for God's guidance and protection upon him.
"Today, on behalf of the Governor of Ebonyi State, I wish to congratulate him on his 48th birthday celebration, and also to encourage him to continue to do good to his people. As you can see through the projects we have commissioned and those he has initiated, that his magnanimity goes beyond his constituency. The other day, some of his projects were commissioned within Abakaliki, and there are still some of his projects in other zones of the State. He does not only concentrate his projects in his Constituency, and I want you to join me in wishing him happy birthday, and many many more years in good health, to the glory of God."
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, and the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr David Nweze Umahi, who was represented by the Commissioner representing South East, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, Chief Clement Alobu Nweke said, that Comrade Chinedu Ogah, has distinguished himself honorably as a Member of the House of representatives, and enjoined other Members of the National Assembly, to emulate the quality representation of Comrade Ogah.
"Ikwo and Ezza South can only thank God that we have this type of representative. Look at the crowd, all these people will be empowered today. The much we can do is to support Hon. Chinedu Ogah, and pray that God will continue to give him long life."
"Chinedu Ogah OON, has distinguished himself very honourably as a Member of the House of representatives. We wish to challenge that other members of the House of representatives in Ebonyi State, including the House of Senate, should emulate Hon. Chinedu Ogah."
The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, who was represented by the Member representing Ado Ekiti/Irepodun-Ifelodun Federal Constituency Hon. Fatoba Olusola felicitated with the government and people of Ebonyi State, particularly, Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, and also congratulated the celebrant, Comrade Chinedu Ogah. The Right Honourable Speaker said that it calls for more support from the government, and prayers in the face of hard time Nigeria is currently facing. He said that the House of representatives will continue to partner with the people for the good of all.
The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, who was represented by Hon. Achor Ambrose, Commended Comrade Chinedu Ogah for his show of humanity to his people, and described him as a performing lawmaker, and also, congratulated the people of Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency, who gave him the mandate to represent them at the National Assembly, and as well as the Government of Ebonyi State, for the massive transformations in the State and prayed for God's sustainable grace upon the celebrant.
The Member representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, thanked God for making the day possible for him, and highlighted his achievements so far as House of representatives member.
He also appreciated the President of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Tinubu, and the leadership of the House of representatives, and as well as his colleagues, for providing the platform for an effective representation.
He also thanked the Governor of the State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his human capital development, security of lives and properties, education, industrialization, workers welfare and above all, the peace and unity in the State, adding that the strides have symbolized that the People's Charter of Needs mantra of Governor Nwifuru, was divinely ordained.
Highlights of the celebration included the empowerment of constituents with various items such as deep freezers, standby generators, grinding machines, motorcycles, and sewing machines, among others. In addition, several constituency projects were commissioned across various locations, reflecting Hon. Ogah's commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
A foundation-laying ceremony was also held for the construction of the Mgbabu Enyi Cultural Center, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru General Hospital affiliated with the National Vascular Center in Abakaliki, and the Nigerian Police Area Command office at Nidegu Amagu. These projects are aimed at bolstering the state's infrastructure and quality of life.
