After signing with top labels like Made Men Music Group, Island, and Universal Music, Tekno reveals how poor deals left him with just a fraction of his earnings from hit songs.
Now thriving independently with annual earnings of 709 million from YouTube and more from streaming apps, he urges young artists to either go solo or negotiate deals with the help of entertainment lawyers. If it was now I could negotiate better, I just didn’t know how to do back then. I am richer now and less famous but back then I was everywhere but had nothing.
