Ayra starr : Growing up, my parents used music as a bargaining chip to get me to behave.it was a form of blàckmáil. My mom would say, "If you want to pursue music, finish your education first!" So, I thought, "Let's get this done!" In Nigeria, many students finish secondary school at 15, but I wanted to be a teenage pop star!. I finished school early, even before my older brother, and headed to university to study international relations.
But music was always on my mind. While in university, I started posting cover songs online and declaring to the world that I was meant to be a teenage popstar! And guess what? It worked! I spoke my dreams into existence and now I'm living my best life as a popstar!"
