This date 365 days ago, destiny thrust upon you the leadership of this great state with promise and potential.
Your Excellency, when you delivered your inaugural speech this day a year ago, you promised to consolidate upon the Divine Mandate platform. We were convinced that as a builder of human and material resources, you came focused to accomplish a task.
Today, we have cause to celebrate and rejoice with you for these 365 days of eventful governance and unprecedented delivery of our people’s interest, yearnings and aspirations under the “peoples’ charter of needs doctrine”.
I most profoundly felicitate with Your Excellency for your administration’s interventions in the critical sectors of the state economy.
Reactivation of the 13 general hospitals through award and procurement of sophisticated hospital equipment.
Procurement of official vehicles and One thousand Naira (N100,000.00) car maintenance allowance to resident doctors in the state.
Construction of ultra-modern duplexes for Traditional Rulers in their palaces.
Construction of 3km roads in all the local government areas of the state.
Construction and rehabilitation of rural and urban roads.
Recruitment of 150 medical personnel in the state.
Increased subvention for the Ebonyi State University, 20 percent increase in EBSU workers emoluments and approval for downward review of school fees.
Increase in the salaries of Ebonyi workers by Twenty thousand Naira (N20,000.00) and One hundred thousand Naira (N100,000.00) Christmas largesse to workers.
Empowerment of Ebonyi residents hawking in different cities of the country.
Reactivation of Ebonyi pipe production company.
You have also set out to revamp Ebonyi State Integrated poultry farm at Nkaliki.
Your Excellency Sir, you have literally expended time to accommodate numerous projects designed to add value to the quality of lives of Ebonyi people.
Your focused and purposeful leadership has given us a new direction as your profile and achievements eloquently demonstrate.
On this happy and most auspicious celebration, my family and I also join numerous well-wishers to salute the mother of the state and beloved wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Uzoamaka Mary Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru (the black diamond) and thank God for the vision and enduring strides recorded through her pet project “Better Health for Rural Women Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation (BERWO).
As we step into the second year of your leadership, we express confidence that the harmony oiling the relationship among the other arms: legislature and the judiciary which accounts for unimpeded sail of your lofty policies and programmes will yield much greater dividends. For this, we congratulate the Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Moses Ije Odunwa and other Honourable members as well as the Chief Judge of Ebonyi State, Justice Anegu Elvis Ngene and his brother judges.
As we celebrate your Excellencies, let the joy in our hearts make us believe that the best is yet to come so that our zeal, loyalty and support for your administration do not flag down or falter.We salute your wisdom and patriotism for Ebonyi State and pledge our continued support and cooperation to your government.
