My experience in Asaba
In 2018 I journeyed from Port Harcourt to Asaba as a filmmaker within this zone Asaba is the only place you can go and easily see movie jobs.
Getting to Asaba I met one of my Ogoni brothers who welcomed me with his heart as a brother he introduced me to some of the producers he is working for, as an editor he needed me to work for big marketers then, the introduction was long because he was taking me from location to locations so people will know me and start giving me jobs, we came back that night one of the directors we met early on location called him to ask me to bring my system so we can copy and he will see the jobs I have done.
After going through the projects I have done as of then he said I am now his personal editor I was happy because that was what I was looking for as someone who is coming from Port Harcourt Asaba people don't see us as filmmakers.
The second day at the location it was a very cool afternoon I started feeling like someone who is sick, I ask my ogoni brother that I want to eat dog meat, me that don't eat dog meat, the guy was shocked to hear that, Then he told me there is no dog meat in that place that what one elderly man do sell there is bush meat so we went there after finishing eating this meat I was seeing myself in another realm of the spirit, my brother ask me to sleep so I can rest maybe overstress since I don't like stress that much, in the Evening when everyone was about going to the hotel, low and behold IDUM FELIX could not stand again, this is not a meer or fabricated story.
This is my reality.
Everyone was trying to help so we can go to the hotel, getting to the hotel it was becoming something else, this director told me I should not worry that in the morning they will take me to a harberlist that will massage my bone, they do anything they can to make sure I can walk but there was no remedy that was how I left Asaba in 2018.
In 2019 one of the most popular actors contacted me that he has a job for me and should come with a drive to copy it, then I was filming in Ananbra state when this man called I left the set in the evening with hard drive to go copy the job he said he have for me getting to Asaba Beewood hotel, it was another story this said celebrity late now, took money from someone to set me up, before I know I was in the DSS custody, because someone was owning me and I said pay me my money before I will give you your project then he paid this man to set me up, this old man took the money and set me up.
What some of these guys in Asaba do for money you will not believe it.
Since then till now if you mentioned Asa don't even bother to complete it because I don't want to hear the name.
