The Apex sociocultural Youth organization of Igbo Race World Wide, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has urged the federal Government to consider the release of Comrade Omoyele Sowere international passport as a gesture to show the element of Democratic government and rule of law.
Addressing pressmen in Abuja on thursday 15th February 2024, at Transcorp Hilton hotel, the national President Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC) advised president Bola Tinubu not to toll the line of executive rascality and impunity of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Comrade Igboayaka frowned that over five (5) years the immediate Presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) Comrade Omoyele Sowore is still in partial prison and has been confined to Nigeria and can't travel out of the country as the courts seized his international passport with impunity under the influence of the Presidency.
Comrade Igboayaka opted that the treasonable charges against the Convener of #RevolutionNow Comrade Omoyele Sowere by President Mohammadu Buhari led federal government was laughable and mockery to Nigeria democracy, stating that Sowere is not a threat to Nigeria democracy, but Buhari past led federal government was the biggest threat ever in Nigeria democratic journey.
"This Contraption called Nigeria has drifted into a jungle Republic, where every president becomes more corrupt than the former and makes a show of tyrannical power control, dictating both for the judiciary and Parliamentary, it's obvious that Nigeria has buried justice therefore Nigeria is alphabetically existing, but structurally and administratively dead", Igboayaka Stated
Comrade Igboayaka urged President Bola Tinubu to allow judicial independence to strive in Nigeria Judiciary sector especially in the case of Comrade Omoyele Sowere vs Federal government and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu vs Federal government.
President Bola Tinubu must ensure to attain a true tenets of democracy that all political Prisoners from Omoyele Sowere to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are released and granted absolute freedom.
