Governor Soludo is committed to democratising access to technology and innovation such that Anambra people can access opportunities to learn digital skills, unlock their talents and explore opportunities in the digital economy. To achieve this, the government is establishing Solution Innovation District (SID) mini Hubs in strategic locations in the State to serve as Mini Hubs. These mini hubs would have computers, projectors, teleconferencing kits, chairs, tables, internet, electricity, and be clean and conducive for learning. These mini hubs would be in schools and communities and would be established by adopting the popular Public-Private Community partnership PPCP model.
To achieve this goal, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation and the Lead for Solution Innovation District, Ms Chinwe Okoli is identifying and assessing potential mini hubs in the State. She led her team on a tour of five such Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centers in the State. The primary objective of this tour was to spearhead the democratization of the Solution Innovation District (SID) programs, ensuring accessibility for the people of Anambra to benefit from SID's comprehensive human capacity-building initiatives so they become part of the Anambra Digital Tribe.
Accompanying Ms. Chinwe Okoli on this tour were, the Chancellor, Catholic Diocese of Awka, Fr Charles Ndubisi, the Education Secretary, Catholic Diocese of Awka Fr. Maximus C. Okonkwo, the Senior Special Assistant and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Mr. Ikechukwu Anajemba and Ms. Onyinye Ezeani respectively.
