The National Chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance, Hon Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, has celebrated Christmas with vulnerable children living with sickle cell disorder, at his residence's in Awka, Anambra State on the 27th December 2023
Speaking at the event, Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, stressed that he is always touched by the plights of sickle cell persons, noted that " This children are special children made and they are gifts from God, they should not be discriminated against on health grounds."
He encourage the children to be attentive, well behaved, and take their learning very serious inorder to influence productivity in the future.
Barr Ezeokenwa also vowed to adopt the sickle cell orphanage home to become his humanitarian project to give back to the society.
He offered master Chibuike Benson, a student, scholarship to university level, while promising to look critically into the welfares of the orphanage home.
The National Coordinator/ Director of the ,underprivileged, Mrs Aisha Edward Maduagwu, thanked ex APGA national chairman, for his benevolence for the underprivileged.
She said the children are always happy to meet Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, who showers them often with gifts. She also praised the wife of the APGA national chairman, Mrs. Amara Ezeokenwa, for being resourceful and supportive to the endeavours of her husband.
According to National Coordinator, she disclosed that
the APGA national chairman is the first national chairman of a political party to have sometime visited the sickle cell orphanage and underprivileged home Agulu, where he made known his intentions to become a pillar of support in the life of the occupants.
"Hon Sly Ezeokenwa embodies humility and stewardship, being the national chairman that gave the party a human-face in the annals of APGA leadership." She said.
The Christmas extravaganza attracted some high profile personalities, including members of his team who came to celebrate the festive season in love and peace.
