Senator Barrister Onyekachi Nwebonyi representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District has felicitated the immediate past Governor and Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial zone who doubles as the Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th Senate, His Excellency, Senator David Nweze Umahi, on his meritorious appointment as Minister designate by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by Distinguished Senator Bar. Onyekachi Nwebonyi who noted that Senator Umahi's new position as a Minister is a well deserved appointment and achievement Senator Umahi made so far during his governance in the state is what gives him reference positive of numerous appointments
He Stated;
" Your Excellency, this latest appointment is a demonstration of the time-honored dictum that a golden fish has no hiding place. Barely, few weeks after your official inauguration as Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, you have garnered litany of accolades, appointments and national recognitions ranging from your well-deserved appointment as Deputy Majority Leader of 10th Senate to this latest meritorious appointment into the Federal Executive Council"
"I’m not surprised that these garlands of honour are trailing your Excellency, shortly after your eventful, purposeful and people-oriented governance of Ebonyi state as her Governor for eight years"
He, therefore expressed hope that Senator Umahi massive transformation in Ebonyi state would be extended to actualize the federal government agenda renewed hope
"Your creative approach to governance and flair for quality projects engendered massive transformation of Ebonyi state from hitherto backyard state to the reference point for all positive indices of development.
"I’m convinced that you will replicate the magic wand in Ebonyi state towards the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government"
