There was pandemonium at the local government headquarters of Umuahia North LGA as nursing mother, name withhold has reportedly fainted
The information has it that the workers of the LGA were protesting their 3 months salaries owed them by the government of governor Alex Otti.
According to some workers, they were paid their march salaries in April by the administration of former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu before the account of the State government was frozen by the then incoming Governor Otti.
The workers, stated that despite fulfilling and providing every necessary documents that they were asked to bring, nothing has been done by the state government.
They explained that most of them are unable to take care of their families due to the hardship they are facing under Governor Alex Otti, they are begging on Alex Otti to please pay them their 3 months salaries arrears.
