Wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru, has promised to assist any physical challenged person in various 13 local government area in the state, while charges wives of Local Government Chairmen to submit reports of happenings that will help identify issues and vulnerable persons for further interventions.
She said this will help improve the livelihood of the rural persons, stressing the need to positively impact the lives of people in the state.
Mrs Nwifuru gave this charge when she received the wives of the thirteen Local Government Chairmen in the State who paid a courtesy visit to her office in Centenary City, Abakaliki.
She charged the women to play functional roles in response to intervention by providing these information that would help identify issues and vulnerable persons to make work better and effective and guide the government to know the areas to best impact the lives of the citizens of the state.
Wife of the Governor appreciated their efforts during the election period and pleaded that such effort should continue as it is time to serve the people. She added that she will prefer to work with hard working chairpersons.
"You will give report of happenings in your different local government areas because I want to know where we can impact in people lives." she said.
Earlier, Mrs Elizabeth Nomeh, the wife of the ALGON Chairman and Leader of the Chairperson Forum, Ebonyi State promised continuous support to the administration for good governance. Nomeh lauded Gov. Francis Nwifuru for victory at the poll and women inclusiveness in the administration.
She on behalf of all chairpersons in Ebonyi state pledged their unalloyed support to the policies and programmes of Nwifuru's administration.
