The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved the termination of appointments of all Political Office holders appointed by the previous administration with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Monday Uzor, said that Governor Nwifuru also directed that all the affected appointees are to handover all government property in their possession to the most senior civil servant in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
The Governor appreciates the contributions of all the political office holders to the development of the State and wishes them well in their future endeavours.
He noted that Permanent Secretaries and political officer holders in the following statutory commissions are exempted from this directive.
Those exempted are:
Civil Service Commission
Judicial Service Commission,
Ebonyi State (independent Electoral Commission and Anti Corruption/ Public Complaint Commission.
Meanwhile, in same vein, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved the appointment of twenty-one Persons as Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor
