The Ebonyi State 7th House of Assembly elected Moses Odunwa, representing Ikwo South constituency, and Chinedu Onah, representing Ohaukwu South constituency, as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively, on Tuesday.
The emergence of Odunwa as Speaker was unopposed, following the nomination by the member representing Edda West, Nkemka Okoro Onumara, and seconded by Godwin Abiri of Izzi West.
Onah, too, was unanimously elected as the Deputy Speaker of the House.
Meanwhile, in same vein, the member representing Ikwo/ Ezza-South federal constituency, Hon. Chinedu Ogah has commended the 7th Assembly of Ebonyi State House of Assembly for electing the member representing Ikwo- South State constituency, Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
Ogah in a congratulatory message to the newly sworn-in speaker, said he remains satisfied and committed to the peaceful coexistence of the state.
He described Odunwa as the best man for the job, who would make Ebonyi State proud and take the legislative duties of the State to good democratic and perfect representation.
